1. Describe the miserable plight of the people of Firozabad.

Ans: Firozabad is famous for making bangales.  Every other family in Firozabad is busy  in making bangles. It is the centre of India`s glass-blowing industry where families have spent generations working around furnaces, welding glass,making bangles for all the women in the land it seem.

         Mukesh`s family is among them.  Over 20,000 children join their parents in this job.  They are working illegally in the glass furnaces with hvigh temperatures. They are exposed to all health hazards.  They work in dingy rooms without windows.  There is no provision of fresh air and light.  Their eyes are more adjusted to the dark than to the light outside.  Many of them end up losing their eyesight before they become adults. They live together reliable roof over their heads.  There is no leader among them to guide or to unit them.

    these poor people live in small and dingy houses which are called hovels. The houses have crumbling walls,wobbly doors and without winows.  All the members of the family live in the same house so they are over crowded with humans and animals.

Ans: Seemapuri is the place on the outskrit of Delhi yet miles away from it. About 10,000 ragpickers live there. They came from Dhaka,The capital city of Bangladeesh in 1971 in search of livelihood and shelter. Saheb`s family among them. They  have live here for more than thirty years without an idenity and permits but with ration cards that get their names on voters` lists and enable them to buy grain. Food is more important for survival than an identity. Survival   in Seemapuri means ragpicker.

        the children like saheb also assist them in their strungle for living.Thus, the poor ragpickers of Seemapuri live an utterly miserable life with no hope.
